Get Up North Retreats was created to offer more than a place to stay. We believe some moments are worth stepping away for. In a world shaped by routine and expectation, we create environments where individuals, families, and groups can step out of the ordinary and experience REAL LIFE — through outdoor immersion, intentional hospitality, and Christ-centered retreats.
Rooted in the Northwoods of Minnesota, our properties and experiences are designed to slow the pace, strengthen relationships, and reconnect people with faith, purpose, and what matters most.
OUR STORY
Get Up North Retreats is a family-owned and operated business with roots in Northwest Iowa and deep ties to Northern Minnesota. Our family spent weeks at a time on Minnesota lakes during the summer months, creating lasting memories surrounded by the beauty, challenge, and adventure of the outdoors.
With a lifelong passion for camping, fishing, hunting, and time together in God’s creation, we’ve seen firsthand how being “Up North” creates space for meaningful connection — with each other, with nature, and with God. Those experiences shaped our belief that time spent intentionally outdoors leads to deeper relationships and lasting impact.
