The Man Up Camp (Dates Coming Soon)
A Men’s Wilderness Camp centered on formation, skill-building, brotherhood, and honest conversation — where men learn how to live well across the areas that matter most while spending time in a camping environment.
Part of Up North Formation Retreats
The Man Up Camp is part of the transformational Camps & Retreats collection — a series of Christ-centered experiences designed to help individuals and families grow through intentional time away.
This camp offers a practical, hands-on approach to formation, using the outdoors as the classroom and shared experience as the teacher. It is designed for men who want to grow in responsibility, discipline, and brotherhood in a setting that feels familiar, grounded, and real.
This is not a conference.
It is a camp.
What Is The Man Up Camp?
The Man Up Camp is an intentional men’s wilderness experience focused on learning how to live well.
Men gather in nature to camp, work, eat, learn, and talk together. Through shared responsibility, outdoor skills, and guided discussion, participants grow in confidence, self-awareness, and practical life skills that carry back into everyday life.
Man Up doesn’t mean “toughen up.”
It means stepping into responsibility — God’s way.
Learning by Doing in the Outdoors
At The Man Up Camp, learning happens through experience.
Participants engage in hands-on activities such as camping, fire-building, fishing, meal preparation, and working together as a group. These shared tasks naturally create opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and growth.
The wilderness removes distractions and invites men to slow down, pay attention, and learn through doing — not sitting and listening.
Brotherhood & Honest Conversation
One of the most meaningful parts of camp is brotherhood.
Time around the fire, shared work, and intentional conversation create space for men to talk honestly about faith, responsibility, relationships, work, discipline, and purpose. These conversations are guided, respectful, and grounded in real life.
There is no posturing here — only men learning from one another.
Formation Through the 7 F’s of Real Life
The Man Up Camp uses a simple framework for growth across the areas that matter most:
-
Faith – walk with God, prayer, Scripture, obedience
-
Family – honoring parents, preparing for leadership at home
-
Friends – choosing brotherhood and accountability
-
Fitness – strength, health, and discipline
-
Food – caring for the body and practicing self-control
-
Finances – work ethic, stewardship, responsibility
-
Fun – rest, joy, recreation, and healthy enjoyment of life
These areas provide a practical foundation for lifelong formation.
A Camp for Young Men — and the Men Who Guide Them
The Man Up Camp is especially impactful for young men who may not have learned basic life skills or experienced consistent male mentorship.
At the same time, older men bring wisdom, experience, and example — creating a natural environment for teaching, encouragement, and shared growth. Men learn not only from instruction, but from watching and walking alongside one another.
An Invitation to Step Forward
The Man Up Camp is an invitation to step into greater responsibility, clarity, and brotherhood.
Men leave camp with practical skills, meaningful connections, and a clearer understanding of how to live well across faith, work, relationships, and everyday life. For some, camp may also open the door to deeper formation through other Up North retreats or ongoing mentorship.
Man Up is not a moment.
It’s a way of life.
